The Goose That Lays Golden Eggs


Ever wondered what it would be like to have a goose that lays golden eggs? Well, if you thought such stuff happens only in fairy tales, think again!

Now before you get carried away in your own curious thoughts, let me tell you that the magical goose I'm talking about is your list of subscribers or your contact list...

That's right, a list of targeted subscribers can be that precious and be equal to a goose that lays golden eggs. Your own contact list has the potential to earn you money on demand and building one makes sure that you never run out of money.

Feed Your Goose Well

You can't have a weak goose, which rarely lays any eggs. That's the very reason you'll have to feed it well enough so that it can becomes big and strong and lays a lot more golden eggs.

Practically speaking, you have to feed your list with quality content on a regular basis to get the results you want. The people on your list are looking for original information. Information they won't find anywhere else but from you.

They don't want old rehashed info, which can be easily found all over the web. They want something that is of value and would help them in achieving something.

And like most of the people, if you're thinking that you don't possess any writing skills and you cant write, then my friend - you're absolutely wrong! You don't have to be writer to write your own content online.

Believe me, it really doesn't matter even if you haven't written a single paragraph by yourself before. You don't need a PhD. in literature and it's alright if you've flunked English in high school. If you can talk, then you can write!

The only rules are no copying and absolutely not plagiarizing. Be original, be witty, be educative and try to give them all you can. It's that simple!

Now, do I hear anyone saying I can't write?

Build a Relationship With Your Goose

You have to concentrate on building an undying relationship with your list. By offering quality content you form a strong relationship with them, which will definitely pay off handsomely in the future. Because when you create a worthy relationship with them, you start to gain your subscribers trust. Which is by the way the hardest thing to gain online.

With time, your readers began to see you as an expert in your field and start to trust you more than the other guys in your field. Any advice given by you will carry a mark of importance and would never be ignored by them.

So basically, it's extremely important that you gain a lot of trust and familiarity with your subscriber list, if you want to make money from it. People always buy from someone they know and have faith in and not from someone who tries to sell them. No one likes to be sold but everyone wants to be recommended. Everyone wants to be helped out.

Don't Kill Your Goose!

Even though it all seems so perfect, the biggest mistake most of the inexperienced marketers commit is they cut open and kill their goose expecting to find a lot more gold inside.

What I mean by killing your goose is, dont kill your list by sending too many offers promoting everything under the sun.

Trying to sell too many products too soon would literally suffocate your list.

Your list has the potential to make you thousands of dollars for years, treat it like you treat someone special. Treat it with respect and dignity and help your subscribers as much as much as you can.

So there you have it, your own goose that lays golden eggs. Just treat it with respect, feed it well and dont even think of cutting it. That's all you need to do to make all the gold you want!
